November 16th, 2006 - Corrie Melville, Freeport, Nova Scotia. Recently from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

"Horsemanship with Mable Elliott was a rich and rewarding experience. Not only did I learn to value and respect a large and fascinating animal, I also learned to value and respect what I had inside of me to communicate in a new fashion. Being taught the right way made all the difference. Not only do you get out what you put in but what you are able to put in depends on the careful instruction and coaching of a skilled teacher. Mable was such a teacher and her horses also reflected that level of horsemanship. I learned that the intricacies of building a new relationship, where communication was the key, were based on respect, the ability to read and respond appropriately to sometimes very subtle cues, and appreciating how my mood affected the dynamic. These have become life long skills that I can take with me into all kinds of settings. When I was first introduced to Mable and her ranch the concept of "riding for the soul" was mentioned. Riding has been for the shear pleasure, exercise, and for the soul. The best stress releaser that has lead to a new and exciting lifestyle."

November 10th, 2006 - Dr. Yvonne Cuttle, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

"My partner Ted Melville and I have been clients of Mable Elliott for several years. When we started taking lessons from her we were already seniors and had no previous experience with horses. Under her expert guidance we have acquired the skill to feel confident in riding her well-trained quarter horses. Now, each week we look forward to horseback outings, riding through the countryside in spring, summer and fall. In the winter when the weather is inclement we take advantage of her spacious indoor arena.

Mable has a warm personality and is always considerate of her clients, being especially conscious of matching the horse to the rider. The physical activity of horse riding in a pleasant atmosphere as in Mable Elliott's ranch undoubtedly contributes to keeping us in good form in spite of our age."
Yvonne Cuttle and Ted Melville, 74 and 81 years young.
